You should really check out the site I'm talking about, because you'd probably find it quite interesting. It's ecfans.com - if you go, go to the forums, the main page is more of a placeholder, I think. (There's news, but there's also links to old geocities sites, which of course now don't exist.) I'll have a look. I love forum-based fandoms - that's how I got into fandom in the first place. I should say that I'm precisely the kind of casual fan of the EC books you've described - I've read each book maybe once or twice, don't have all the characters' names memorised etc, but found them (especially the first couple of books) really enjoyable. It's a shame the author is a bit thin-skinned when it comes to interacting with fans, though.
