Date: 2015-10-09 02:48 pm (UTC)The people in Australia are based all over the place, and meeting up necessitates coordinating schedules and booking flights, so it's unlikely I'll see them all at once. I generally try to see at least some of the people based in Sydney whenever I'm there, though.
The UK people and I are talking about having our own later event, unrelated to the book release, and I think that's likely to happen, as it's easier to travel within the UK than in Australia.
I don't normally angst that much about being an immigrant (because, let's face it, I'm on the lowest difficulty setting in terms of being an immigrant), but every so often, something happens, and I'm reminded of that distance, those lives rushing by without me, and those oceans.
