Only in a Sara Douglass book...

...would a character fall hopelessly in love with a guy who used magic to destroy her womb so that she'll not be able to bear his child. Yeah. Pleasant.

And, by the way, I am *loving* that mood icon. Maybe I'll be pessimistic more often!

Wow... ye olde fashioned magicke version of contraception... Interesting...

I watched Phantom of the Opera (the new version) with [profile] angel_cc the other night and am I alone in thinking that it would have been far more satisfying if Christine had ended up with the Phantom and not Raoul (sp?)?

And that second comment is related to your post because I'm all for people falling in love with totally in appropriate people! Especially fictional characters!

Real life love = much more boring and practical. Not that I'd know all that much about THAT! :P

Hey, as far as I'm concerned, star-crossed (or he is a sadistic maniac and she is...not) lovers are the only ones worth reading about :)

How's life, anyway? Something on Facebook made me think that [livejournal.com profile] angel_cc is moving out of the house.

Have you read the most recent Gods of Amyranthia (sp?) book yet?

Heya, yes we're moving out having been kicked out by landlady for her son who needs a place to stay when his house is sold. We were meant to be out by this weekend, but now have a couple of extra weeks because her son's house sale fell through.
I'll be up in Sydney this weekend, perhaps we can meet up on Saturday or Sunday? Maybe Saturday night? Dinner perhaps? Fatbot might be coming up to Sydney this weekend, so perhaps the three of us plus [profile] anya_1984 could meet up?

I've got a wedding to go to on Saturday, so that's a no to Saturday night. Then on Sunday from lunchtime on I've got a birthday party for Mum and my cousin. What about an earlyish (10am or so) breakfast on Saturday or Sunday morning?
