It's a sprint, not a marathon

Yes, it's another COVID post.
The Australian Labor Party (who are in opposition in Australia at federal level) just released this ad:
I think it's extremely effective communication, although whether it's seen by the people who need to see it is another matter. They really need to keep hammering this point.
I must say, though, that although I understand why they included approving footage of Boris Johnson (they're using him and other non-Australian political leaders to make a point about Australia's failed vaccine rollout), given the appalling decision Johnson made this week regarding lifting of all pandemic restrictions on 19th July, he doesn't really deserve the praise.
If we stick with the analogy of vaccination being a race, the UK was at the front of the pack for most of the race, then got bored when they were a few metres away from the finish line and wandered off to the pub. And Australia, of course, have barely left the starting line.
